When these fade, they are a set of LED arranged in rows and columns - so when a column goes dead the whole row of LED "lights" have to be tested to find the bad one then it's replaced with a similar style and package design
Sounds dynamite until you realize the age of the thing - which is past 10 years old. So the likelihood of having that same pin for pin outline and performance parts available is not likely - unless you like to take it apart and tinker with the unit.
However - since it's SMD (Surface mounted) the repair is highly specialized in parts and the tools to do it. - the unit is sealed behind the "LCD" front - although many kits from vendors for LCD TV's and Monitors can be had, even universal kits for those - the "Back lit" LCD for the Fiesta - you'll have to find one - mostly from wreck and junk yards - eBay might offer a refurbished console display - that too is also taking chances on whether or not it will last or even work on the vehicle.
